Air ID is another one of our smart features designed for the Halo. Air ID takes data from all the sensors on the Halo as well as contextual information to determine what exactly could be polluting your air.

What are Air Bubbles?
Air bubbles are a tool that allows you to see outside air quality in your surrounding area. You can also find the Air Bubbles map in the “Outside” tab in your Wynd app. These “bubbles” display AQI and PM data from the nearest government-run air quality monitoring stations.
How can I view my historical air quality data?
The “Insights” feature in your app keeps a record of your historical data from your Halo or Tracker. Here you can select between your different devices and view data from all of the available sensors. You can also view your historical data through your app using the AQI data export function. See below.
How do I export data from my Halo or Tracker?
iOS - In your app go to the “Profile” tab and select “Export data as CSV”. Choose the device you wish to export data for then select “Next”. Choose the averaging intervals that you wish to export, select the date range you wish to pull data from or select “Export all data”, then select “Export data”. Last, choose the destination you wish to save or send this data to.
Android - In your app go to the “Settings” tab and select which device you wish to export data from. If you wish to export data from your Halo, select “Export Halo AQI data”. If you wish you export data from your Tracker, select “Export Tracker AQI data”. You will be asked to choose a destination for the CSV file after selecting one of these options.
How do I check filter life?
Purifier filter life can be found under the device information page. To get to this page go to your “Devices” tab in the app and click on the purifier you wish to view the filter life for.
How do I change temperature readings in the app to Farenheit or Celsius?
Go to the “Settings” or “Profile” tab in the app and select “Units”. You can then choose whether you wish to display Celsius or Fahrenheit in your Insights data.
How do I check my app version?
Go to the “Settings” or “Profile” tab in the app. The app version will be listed at the bottom of the page.
What sensors does the Halo have?
The Halo is the most comprehensive monitor available featuring 10 different physical sensors. These sensors measure PM 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 4, PM 10, CO2, VOCs, Temperature, Humidity, Light (lux), and Noise (decibel). In addition, Halo also includes 4 digital sensors via our proprietary Air ID technology; Dust/Dander, Pollen, Smoke, and Smog.
What is the Wynd Score and how is it calculated?
Halo - The Wynd Score for the Halo is calculated through an algorithm that combines data from all of the Halo's sensors with added emphasis on the PM (Particulate Matter) sensors.
What is AQI?
The AQI (Air Quality Index) is an index for reporting daily air quality. It tells you how clean or polluted your air is and what associated health effects might be a concern for you. The AQI focuses on health effects you may experience within a few hours or days after breathing polluted air. We calculate the AQI based on the same conversion chart used by EPA Airnow with the exception that we use the real-time PM2.5 readings. What that means is the AQI value is also in real-time whereas Airnow AQI is based on a 24 hour average. AQI FACTS
What are VOCs?
Volatile organic compounds are compounds that have a high vapor pressure and low water solubility. Volatile organic compounds are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. However, it should be noted that not all VOCs are considered harmful. What is Particulate Matter?
PM stands for particulate matter (also called particle pollution): the term for a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air. Some particles, such as dust, dirt, soot, or smoke, are large or dark enough to be seen with the naked eye. Others are so small they can only be detected using an electron microscope. Particulate matter contains microscopic solids or liquid droplets that are so small that they can be inhaled and cause serious health problems. Some particles less than 10 micrometers in diameter can get deep into your lungs and some may even get into your bloodstream. Of these, particles less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter, also known as fine particles or PM2.5, pose the greatest risk to health. I just bought the Halo. My VOC readings seem off. Why?
The TVOC sensor in the Halo has a “burn-in” period of about two weeks. As you continue using your Halo during these two weeks you should notice that your VOC and CO2 readings become more consistent and accurate.
Can I use the Halo without the Wynd Max?
The Halo and Max are capable of working independently of each other, however, we recommend using the Halo and Max together in order to be able to enjoy the full benefits of the system, such as being able to use Auto Mode.
How does Auto Mode work?
Auto Mode will automatically control the fan speed of the Max Purifier based on the air quality data coming from the Halo. This allows your Max Purifier to run only when needed and will increase the longevity of your filters.
The Halo will send data from all of its sensors to the Wynd Cloud. Based on the air quality reported by the Halo, the Wynd Cloud will automatically adjust the Max Purifier fan speed to clean as needed. Once the Halo detects that the air is now clean, the Wynd Cloud will send the signal to lower the fan speed of the Max Purifier.
How do I set up Auto Mode?
In order for the Halo and Max Purifier to be connected in Auto Mode, make sure that both devices are listed as being in the same room in the app and set the optimization to Smart Auto Mode, Day Auto Mode, or Night Auto Mode based on your need.
How do I charge my Halo?
The Wynd Halo charges via a standard USB-C port. A cable and adapter are included.
How long does it take for the Halo to reach full charge?
The Halo takes around 2 hours to fully charge from depletion.
How long is the battery life of the Wynd Halo?
On a full charge the Halo will average 3-4 hours of runtime.
Can the Halo's light ring and screen be turned off at night for better sleep?
Yes it can. You can enable Night Mode via the App or on the settings menu on the device.
I’ve lost my charger. Can I buy a new one?
Yes. Please contact customer service and they can create you an order for a replacement.
My readings don’t match the nearest government-run air monitoring station. Why?
The government-run air monitoring stations take PM reading averages every 24 hours while our Halo takes readings in real-time. While we use the same conversion chart and algorithm to determine the AQI as the EPA’s AirNow, our AQI and PM scores will more accurately reflect the air around you.
This means that your PM and AQI data will most likely not match the readings from the nearest government station. Your readings will also vary from location to location. The air in or around your house is not the same as the air in or around the monitoring station.
How do I recalibrate my VOCs?
To calibrate your VOCs place your Halo outside in fresh air and allow it to sit outside for at least 5 minutes. Then go to the last page on the Halo, the settings page, select “Device Settings” and then finally select “Calibrate VOC”. After calibrating your device, you can take your Halo back inside for testing.
How do I change the temperature from Farenheit to Celsius?
On your Halo scroll to the last page, the settings page, and select “Set to Celsius”
