WYND Max Purifier

What is HEPA?

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air and is used as a filter efficiency standard for air filters.

What is MERV?

MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. Like HEPA, this is used to determine the efficiency of air filters.

Are the Max Purifier filters HEPA?

The Max Purifier filters are our own proprietary HEPA filters. They are rated as an H13 True HEPA filter capable of filtering out particulates at the 0.3 ug/m3 size range at a 99.97% filtration rate.

What is CADR and why does this matter?

CADR stands for Clean Air Delivery Rate. CADR indicates the volume of filtered air an air cleaner delivers. This measurement is important because it indicates the amount of time a purifier will need to clean an area of a certain size.

What is the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of the Max Purifier?

The Max Purifier has a CADR of 537 m3 per hour or 316 CFM (cubic feet per minute). The Max Purifier is one of the most powerful smart purifiers in its price range.

What does Max Purifier filter?

The Max Purifier is capable of filtering VOCs and other pollutants such as dust, dander, smoke, allergens, smog, mold, germs, bacteria, and toxic odors.

What are your filters made out of?

Our filters contain 3 filter layers: the Antimicrobial Prefilter, which is laced with silver particles that are known to kill germs and bacteria, the Coconut Shell Activated Carbon layer, which is used to remove toxic gasses, and the HEPA-filter + Carbon layer, which removes particulates.

What size home can the Max Purifier clean?

The Max Purifier is capable of cleaning a 1200 sq/ft space in 30 minutes and can clean even larger spaces but will require more time conversely, the Max Purifier will also take less time to clean a smaller space.

Where should I place my Max Purifier for optimal cleaning?

We recommend placing your Max Purifier in your most trafficked areas such as in your living room. If you cook often, we recommend having the Max Purifier near the kitchen to filter out any smoke and help remove any odors. If you have multiple rooms, we recommend placing one purifier in each room.

If you own the Halo, we recommend having your Max Purifier and Halo in the same room as each other so that you may use them together in Auto Mode.

How loud is it?

The Max Purifier has a noise rating of < 65 dB at max fan speed. At the lowest fan speed you can expect < 20 dB.

How long do the filters last?

If you live in a heavily polluted area or like to keep your purifier at medium to high speeds constantly, we recommend changing your filters every 6 months.

If you live in an area of light pollution and use your purifier intermittently you can get anywhere from 6 to 12 months of usage.

How do I know when to replace my filters?

We generally recommend replacing your filter at least every 6 months but your app can tell you when your filter needs to be replaced. To learn more about this please refer to our Guide and Tip section.

What does Auto Mode do and how does it work?

Auto Mode will automatically control the fan speed of the Max Purifier based on the air quality data coming from the Halo. This allows your Max Purifier to run only when needed and will increase the longevity of your filters.

The Halo will send data from all of its sensors to the Wynd Cloud. The AI of the Wynd Cloud will then determine the quality of your air and send a signal to adjust the fan speed of the Max Purifier. Once the Halo detects that the air is now clean, the Wynd Cloud will send the signal to lower the fan speed of the Max Purifier.

If you do not own a Halo your Max Purifier can still be placed in Auto Mode, however it must be paired to your Wifi and Wynd App. Our cloud server will use the local AQI from your nearest government-run air monitoring station to determine the air quality around you and adjust the fan speed of your purifier automatically according to the data that it receives from the station.

How do I change fan speed?

You can manually change the fan speed on the Max Purifier by pressing the Mode button on the purifier. This will place the purifier in one of four default options: Low, Medium, High, or Auto.

If you wish to have more control over the fan speed, you can control the fan speed of your Purifier in the app under the device’s information page. To do this, go to your Devices tab in the app and select into your Max Purifier. You will see a wheel slider that will allow you to change your fan speed.

Does the Wynd Max emit ozone?

No, the Wynd Max does not use ionization technology so no ozone is emitted. The Max Purifier uses H13 HEPA filters capable of filtering out 99.97% of particulates at the 0.3 ug/m3 size.
